The Borenore house is made from rammed earth and compressed straw bales and lime and recycled timber from
it's surrounds.
The recycled large section oregon framing came from an old woolstore in the nearby town,
the bricks for the fireplaces from the old westinghouse kilns and the flooring from a
disused farmhouse.
The lime render was made on site by the traditional slaking process. Passive solar and thermal mass
design.
Made by hand, with care, in and of the place.
