The delicate, small building at the start of an ouvre, hand crafted, Japanese joined timber frame in a contemporary Australian idiom.

The entire building was prefabricated in our workshops and carried to the remote and sensitive site by hand and erected without the use

of powertools or machinery of any kind.   The internal walls and highlight panels are of sailcloth shoji screens, with traditional reed tatami mats

on the floors.  the timber is untreated and unoiled and has been allowed to naturally weather to a gloss finish.
